Task 1 Exercises

LECTURES

Week 1
In our initial session, we decided to use The Bezier Game as a tool to familiarize ourselves with the pen tool feature in Adobe Illustrator. While it presented some difficulties initially, I gradually began to grasp its usage and become more comfortable with it.

Week 2
The second week began with a review of all exercises performed by students. The professor tells you how to use the various tools for Illustrator and provides feedback. Using Teams, students watched a video about designing an animated character and learned how to design an animated character using a variety of shapes.

The lecture emphasizes character design's three most important aspects: iconic, simple, and unique. I helped to understand through the example of Doraemon. He also learned character design principles through examples of inside-out characters about shape, color, emphasis, contrast, harmony, and expressive poses.

Most villains tend to take the shape of a triangle -> creates anxiety
The main characters are square and circular-> creates comfort

*Inside Out-> Joy is designed to contrast blue and yellow only to express sadness in joy. Anger is compact, but the eyes and teeth are designed to create harmony.

Inside Out Review

Week 3
During this class, the focus was on colors, and we were introduced to the concept of creating personalized color palettes using Adobe Color. Additionally, we learned about the convenience of utilizing the eyedropper tool for color selection. In this tutorial, I gained knowledge on creating gradients and gained proficiency in adjusting and manipulating them, including controlling their direction.
