1. SYNOPSIS (ONE PARAGRAPH ONLY):
It is a story about the daily life of a rabbit named Luna, "Luna" is a heartwarming rabbit. Moving between the first and second floors, Luna engages in playing the piano and creating drawings as special gifts for her cherished friend. The inclusion of small props in each scene enhances the overall liveliness of the narrative.
Specific feedback: You made a small miniature well, but I'm worried it's too small. The storyboard content is so flat, that I hope you can enrich the content by featuring other characters at the end.
Week 11
Specific feedback: It's too tiny to shoot a stop-motion
Week 12
General feedback: From week 12-14, I'll be stationed in the studio during class time, if you decide to shoot your final during class time, no booking is needed. Please come to the studio for a discussion. However, no attendance will be taken.
REFLECTION
Experience:
Starting the journey of producing stop motion videos for the final project in a video-acoustic production class was both challenging and enlightening. The project focused on creating a story that depicts a rabbit's daily life as Luna, who is heartwarming. In the process, I explored various aspects of stop-motion video production, planning storytelling, and set design.
From the early stages of conceptualization to the final implementation, the project provided first-hand experience in translating ideas into visual stories. Creating Luna's world involved making miniature props.
Observation:
Video and sound production final projects provide insight into the complexity of stop-motion animation and have become a rich learning experience. The feedback received not only drove the development of the project, but also facilitated a deeper understanding of the creative decision-making process of video production. Reflecting on this experience, I am grateful for the challenges and feedback that have contributed to my growth in visual storytelling and animation.
Findings: The feedback raised concerns about the size of the miniature, and in fact, it was too small to make fine movements when producing the overall stop motion. Realization was a valuable lesson in the importance of scale in stop-motion animation.
But through trial and error, I was able to make a decent video, and it sparked a search for alternative ways to tell the story more effectively in storytelling.
Realization was a valuable lesson in the importance of scale in stop-motion animation.
